Since Nov. 2021 and till Oct. 2025, Costas Papadopoulos has been the Country Managing Director of Hitachi Energy in Greece and Cyprus and the Chairman of the Board of Hitachi Energy Greece S.A., the Group’s Greek subsidiary.

Having worked for almost a decade in the field of international export sales within EMEA region for an American competitor and a power cables local manufacturer, in 1993 C. Papadopoulos joined ABB as a Sales Manager and led the sales operations for the local Power Division. Since 2006 he has been the General Manager of the Power Division heading all operations, mainly sales and project management, until becoming the Country Managing Director of ABB Power Grids Greece S.A. in 2019, renamed in Nov. 2021 to Hitachi Energy Greece S.A.

C. Papadopoulos is a NTUA graduate Electrical Engineer, M.Sc., married and has been continuously elected as a Board member of the Greek CIGRE Administrative Council since 1998, and on 2020 as the Vice Chairman of the Board till 2022.
