Göran von Sydow is the Director of the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (SIEPS). He holds a PhD in Political Science from Stockholm University. His previous positions include at the University of Stockholm and the government offices in Sweden. He has studied at Stockholm University, SciencesPo and Sorbonne in Paris as well as at the European University Institute in Florence. He is a frequent commentator and public speaker on European affairs. He is member of the boards of the University of Gothenburg and Swedish Radio. His main research interests are political parties, European integration and democracy.
